MISSION STATEMENT
The Department of Treasury is comprised of the following five divisions:

Finance Division:
The Finance Division is comprised of seven accounting sections whose
mission is to process all financial transactions for the American Samoa
Government (ASG) in an efficient, accurate and timely manner including
bi-weekly payroll of over 4,000 employees and to prepare all financial
reports and analysis required for the Territory and other regulatory
bodies.
Tax Division:
The Tax Office's mission is to serve the citizens of American Samoa
through the ethical and efficient administration of tax laws.
Grants Division:
The Grants Division's mission is to provide service functions to
government departments receiving U.S. Federal funding and to assist them
in meeting the financial and program requirements of their grants.
Customs Division:
The Customs Division's mission is to carry out the inspection of all
incoming goods entering American Samoa, the collection of all excise
taxes and service fees due on the importation of such goods, tracking of
small vessels and aircraft in the Pacific area, inspection for drug
contraband, certification of exports, statistical data collection and
information sharing with law enforcement and other agencies.
Computer Resources Division:
The Computer Resources mission is to provide uninterrupted computer
services relating to hardware and operating systems to all users of
financial and tax systems
