October 22nd, 2001 Official Opening of New Manulele Tausala Junior High School Building Last week Thursday, October 18th, 2001, Lt. Governor Togiola T.A. Tulafono attended the official dedication ceremony of the newly completed two story classroom building at the Manulele Tausala Junior High School. Lt. Governor Tulafono encouraged the teachers of the junior high school, to utilize this building for the purposes for which it was built. "We must foucs on education," stated Tulafono, "because American Samoa is not rich in gold or diamonds. But what we are rich in, is the ability to educate are kids the best we can. This building will provide the necessary environment and adequate space to house the 1,000+ student enrollment. It is this education that serves as the foundation of our country and our future. We do not have the luxury of investing in riches, but the richness of our kids has a lot to invest in our country. That is my challenge to you, teach them well."
