PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS FOR HUMANE SOCIETY NOW AVAILABLE
The American Samoa Government has announced that it is now
possible for ASG employees to make contributions to the American Samoa Humane
Society (ASHS) via the Payroll Deduction System.
A pamphlet has been prepared to inform ASG employees and
other potential donors about the Society’s programs and purposes. The most
important of these are:
- Spaying and neutering of stray animals and pets.
- Covering additional costs for medical supplies and treatment for suffering animals
- Providing low cost vaccinations to ensure the end of infectious diseases that harm all animals and threaten people.
- Providing shelter and care for homeless, hungry and injured animals.
- Placing animals in caring foster homes and with families.
- Removing roaming animals from the streets, shopping areas and parks.
These pamphlets will be distributed along with the upcoming
(August 13, 2001) ASG payroll checks.
